Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 545.96 points or 0.67 per cent. By 9.17 am, the index stood at 81,675.26 signifying a gain of 450.51 points or 0.55 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals jumped by 0.31 per cent, power zoomed by 0.5 and auto soared by 0.31 per cent.

Meanwhile, Tejas Networks Ltd, Netweb Technologies India Ltd and Tata Chemicals Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Tejas Networks Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 20 per cent to trade at 1,427.55 apiece. The company has posted a very strong quarterly growth of seven-fold on year in its Q2FY25 net revenue at Rs 2,810 crore, with a net profit coming in at Rs 266 crore as against a net loss a year ago. On QoQ basis, the net profit has grown by 250 per cent, while revenue rose by 80 per cent compared to the previous quarter.
Netweb Technologies India Ltd rallied 7.78 per cent to trade at Rs 2,890 apiece. The company has announced its Q2 FY25 results on October 19. Total Income at Rs 25.31 crore for Q2 FY25, with YoY growth of 71.0 per cent over Q2 FY24, PAT at Rs 2.57 crore, an increase of 69.8 per cent over Q2 FY24, PAT Margin was at 10.2 per cent.
Tata Chemicals Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 5.47 per cent to trade at Rs 1,147.50 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
