At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 6.83 points or 0.01 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 81,864.93 signifying a loss of 56.36 points or 0.07 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals Jumped by 0.31 per cent, power zoomed by 0.61 and auto dropped by 0.54 per cent.
