Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 237.08 points or 0.29 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 81,246.72 signifying a loss of 96.74 points or 0.12 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals dipped by 0.16 per cent, power slipped 0.12 and auto rose by 0.04 per cent.

Meanwhile, VST Industries Ltd, Infosys Ltd and South Indian Bank Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
VST Industries Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 6.04 per cent to trade at Rs 4,390.00 apiece. The company declared its Q1FY25 quarterly result on July 18, 2024 and issue of bonus shares.
Infosys Ltd rallied 4.71 per cent to trade at Rs 1842.05 apiece. The company declared its Q1FY25 quarterly result on July 18, 2024
South Indian Bank Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 4.53 per cent to trade at Rs 27.70 apiece. South Indian Bank had declared a net profit of Rs 294 crore for Q1 FY 2024-25 registering a growth of 45 per cent compared to Rs 202 crore in Q1 FY 2023-24.
