At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 243.22 points or 0.31 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 77,410.36 signifying a gain of 109.22 points or 0.14 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 0.63 per cent, power gained 0.30 and auto rose by 0.39 per cent.
Meanwhile, Paras Defence and Space Technologies Ltd, Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Ltd and Sansera Engineering Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
