Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 471.11 points or 0.61 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 76,936.06 signifying a gain of 242.70 points or 0.32 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 0.50 per cent, power gained 1.35 and auto rose by 0.55 per cent.
Meanwhile, Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd, Patanjali Foods Ltd and KEC International Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Motilal Oswal Financial Services Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 8.84 per cent to trade at Rs 660.00 apiece. Today, the company is trading ex-bonus. It had announced a bonus issue in the ratio of 3:1, meaning shareholders will receive three bonus shares for every one share they hold. The record date for this was set as June 10.
Patanjali Foods Ltd rallied 7.84 per cent to trade at Rs 1513.00 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
KEC International Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 6.52 per cent to trade at Rs 817.90 apiece. The stock rallied as the company secured new orders worth Rs 1,061 crore across its various businesses.
