At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 205.52 points or 0.28 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 72,692.60 signifying a gain of 222.30 points or 0.31 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 0.71 per cent, power gained 1.04 and auto rose by 0.43 per cent.
Meanwhile, Gravita India Ltd, ABB India Ltd and Meghmani Organics Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
