Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 563.13 points or 0.77 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 72,567.49 signifying a loss of 194.40 points or 0.27 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals stood flat, power fell by 0.69 and auto declined by 0.74 per cent.
Meanwhile, Godrej Industries Ltd, Reliance Infrastructure Ltd and Hindustan Copper Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Godrej Industries Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 4.73 per cent to trade at Rs 809.90 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
Reliance Infrastructure Ltd rallied 3.45 per cent to trade at Rs 191.85 apiece. Maharashtra Cabinet has approved the acquisition of Mumbai Metro One, jointly owned by Reliance Infrastructure and MMRDA. Anil Ambani's 74 per cent stake valued at ₹4,000 crore, as per Hindustan Times report.
Hindustan Copper Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 3.38 per cent to trade at Rs 243.00 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
