Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 286.72 points or 0.39 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 72,677.42 signifying a gain of 54.33 points or 0.07 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 0.66 per cent, power gained 0.64 and auto rose by 0.44 per cent.
Meanwhile, MAS Financial Services Ltd, Eureka Forbes Ltd and ABB India Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
MAS Financial Services Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 6.71 per cent to trade at Rs 350.00 apiece. On Wednesday, the board approved and allotted 12,500 fully paid, senior, secured, listed, rated, taxable, redeemable, transferable, nonconvertible debentures denominated in Indian Rupees, each having a face value of Rs 1 lakh and an aggregate face value of Rs 125 crore on a private placement basis.
Eureka Forbes Ltd rallied 6.66 per cent to trade at Rs 544.00 apiece. Lunolux, Eureka Forbes' promoter, plans to sell up to a 12 per cent stake in the household appliances maker for $138.6 million (Rs 1,148.7 crore) through a Thursday block deal. Advent International, Lunolux's parent, acquired a majority stake from Shapoorji Pallonji Group in 2021. The deal sets a floor price of Rs 494.75 per share, a 3 per cent discount from Wednesday's closing price.
ABB India Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 4.23 per cent to trade at Rs 5200.50 apiece. The stock rallied on the back of strong financial performance for the October-December quarter with highest ever Q4 topline at Rs 2,757 crore, up by 14 per cent on a YoY basis.
