Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 421.45 points or 0.59 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 72,061.67 signifying a gain of 238.84 points or 0.33 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 1.00 per cent, power gained 0.79 and auto rose by 0.53 per cent.
Meanwhile, NMDC Ltd, Schneider Electric Infrastructure Ltd and MSTC Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
NMDC Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 6.20 per cent to trade at Rs 250.10 apiece. The stock rallied on the back of strong financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2023 with 62 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 1,469.73 crore. The company also approved an interim dividend of Rs 5.75 per equity share for FY24 and fixed February 27 as the record date for the purpose.
Schneider Electric Infrastructure Ltd rallied 5.47 per cent to trade at Rs 585.70 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
MSTC Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 5.07 per cent to trade at Rs 964.10 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
