Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 368.36 points or 0.51 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 72,463.31 signifying a gain of 311.31 points or 0.43 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 0.55 per cent, power gained 1.10 and auto rose by 0.51 per cent.
Meanwhile, Lupin Ltd, Cummins India Ltd and Inox Wind Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Lupin Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 6.54 per cent to trade at Rs 1700.00 apiece. The stock rallied as the company posted strong financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2023 with nearly three fold jump in net profit to Rs 618.7 crore on a YoY basis.
Cummins India Ltd rallied 6.04 per cent to trade at Rs 2544.00 apiece. The company also announced its financial results for the December quarter with net profit rising 26 per cent to Rs 455 crore compared to previous year’s corresponding quarter.
Inox Wind Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 5.61 per cent to trade at Rs 572.55 apiece. The company recently announced that it has entered into a binding framework agreement with CESC Ltd, for the installation / supplies of 1,500 MW of wind capacity over the next 3-4 years.
