Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 182.36 points or 0.25 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further strengthened at 72,015.56 signifying a gain of 263.45 points or 0.37 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 0.64 per cent, power gained 0.89 and auto rose by 0.58 per cent.
Meanwhile, Data Patterns (India) Ltd, Transport Corporation of India Ltd and Lumax Auto Technologies Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Data Patterns (India) Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 7.48 per cent to trade at Rs 2047.50 apiece. The stock rallied as the company announced its financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2023 with 52.97 per cent surge in net profit to Rs 50.97 crore on a YoY basis.
Transport Corporation of India Ltd rallied 5.81 per cent to trade at Rs 997.00 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
Lumax Auto Technologies Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 5.07 per cent to trade at Rs 409.50 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
