Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 730.50 points or 1.00 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 72,003.49 signifying a loss of 1125.28 points or 1.54 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals fell by 0.71 per cent, power declined 0.52 and auto fell by 0.78 per cent.
Meanwhile, Capri Global Capital Ltd, Jindal Saw Ltd and Stylam Industries Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Capri Global Capital Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 6.66 per cent to trade at Rs 1023.85 apiece. The stock rallied as the company unveiled its strategy to develop an innovative insurance platform designed to optimize the Corporate Agency License issued by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI).
Jindal Saw Ltd rallied 2.84 per cent to trade at Rs 533.55 apiece. The stock rallied on the back of strong financial performance for the quarter ended December 31, 2023 with net profit rising two-fold to Rs 511.7 crore.
Stylam Industries Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 2.37 per cent to trade at Rs 1696.65 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
