At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 197.09 points or 0.27 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 72,096.18 signifying a gain of 70.03 points or 0.10 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 0.64 per cent, power gained 0.67 and auto rose by 0.57 per cent.
Meanwhile, Sula Vineyards Ltd, RattanIndia Power Ltd and Epigral Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Sula Vineyards Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 5.12 per cent to trade at Rs 583.00 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
RattanIndia Power Ltd rallied 4.95 per cent to trade at Rs 11.03 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
