Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 247.07 points or 0.35 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood at 70,020.68 signifying a gain of 92.15 points or 0.13 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 0.37 per cent, power gained 0.17 and auto rose by 0.45 per cent.
Meanwhile, GTL Infrastructure Ltd, BLS International Services Ltd and Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
GTL Infrastructure Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 7.26 per cent to trade at Rs 1.33 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
BLS International Services Ltd rallied 3.73 per cent to trade at Rs 307.40 apiece. The stock rallied as the company bagged a contract for outsourcing Consular, Passport, and Visa services by the High Commission of India (HCI) in Canada. This contract encompasses operations at HCI in Ottawa and Consulate Generals of India (CGIs) in Toronto and Vancouver.
Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 3.70 per cent to trade at Rs 438.40 apiece. On December 11, the company announced the launch of a qualified institutional placement (QIP) issue.The Securities Issuance Committee approved a floor price for the issue at Rs 365.02 per share following the calculation prescribed by the Securities and Exchange Board of India, the company said.
