Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 37.04 points or 0.06 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further strengthened stood at 64,857.65 signifying a gain of 113.32 points or 0.18 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 0.53 per cent, power gained 0.23 and auto rose by 0.25 per cent.
Meanwhile, Gujarat Gas Ltd, APL Apollo Tubes Ltd and Dhampur Sugar Mills Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Gujarat Gas Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 4.73 per cent to trade at Rs 487.00 apiece. CARE ratings have raised the rating on Gujarat Gas' bank financing to AAA, revises outlook to stable.

APL Apollo Tubes Ltd rallied 4.06 per cent to trade at Rs 1357.00 apiece. The company announced its sales volume performance for the quarter ending June 30, 2023. The Company registered a sales volume of 661,501 Ton in Q1FY24 compared to 422,788 Ton in Q1FY23, a YoY growth of 56 per cent.
Dhampur Sugar Mills Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 3.78 per cent to trade at Rs 279.95 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
