Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 155.70 points or 0.25 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further strengthened at 63,158.43 signifying a slight gain of 139.76 points or 0.22 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 0.18 per cent, power gained 0.13 and auto rose by 0.08 per cent.
Meanwhile, Shriram Finance Ltd, Piramal Enterprises Ltd and Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Shriram Finance Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 10.00 per cent to trade at Rs 1715.35 apiece.
Piramal Enterprises Ltd rallied 7.33 per cent to trade at Rs 900.10 apiece.
Today, Piramal Enterprises, which last year acquired a non-banking finance company (NBFC) licence, is selling its entire 8.34 per cent holding in Shriram Finance through block deal.
Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL), an S&P BSE company, climbed 3.47 per cent to trade at Rs 126.80 apiece. Moneycontrol on Tuesday posted that Indian Railways may be forced to reissue its tender for the manufacture and maintenance of 120 Vande Bharat sleeper trains as talks between Russia’s CJSC Transmashholding (TMH) and RVNL— the consortium that won the contract — have broken down. However, RVNL in its exchange filing clarified that The MoU between the parties (RVNL & TMH) is still valid as none of the parties have terminated the same.
