At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 132.77 points or 0.21 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further strengthened and stood at 63,474.21 signifying a gain of 89.63 points or 0.14 per cent over its previous closing.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals rose by 0.17 per cent, power gained 0.11 and auto rose by 0.15 per cent.
