Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today

These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.

At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 237.10 points or 0.39 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index stood flat at 60,087.98 signifying a slight decline of 42.73 points or 0.07 per cent.      

On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals fell by 0.59 per cent while power and auto stood flat.       

Meanwhile, Mahindra CIE Automotive Ltd, Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd and Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.         

Mahindra CIE Automotive Ltd, an S&P BSE company, surged 6.51 per cent to trade at Rs 382.00 apiece. The company reported 73 per cent rise in Q1CY23 supported by robust domestic and European demand. 

Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd rallied 6.23 per cent to trade at Rs 141.45 apiece.  

Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd, an S&P BSE company, climbed 5.68 per cent to trade at Rs 135.00 apiece.  

The shares of Gujarat state PSUs witnessed a heavy demand as the state announced new policy to mandate a minimum of 30 percent of profit after tax or 5 percent of net worth, whichever is higher to be a minimum level of dividend declared for shareholders.
