Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 335.42 points or 0.57 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index strengthened to 58,272.95, signifying gains of 35.1 points or 0.06 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals were trading flat, power weakned by 0.67 per cent whereas auto slipped by 0.17 per cent.
Meanwhile, MOIL Ltd, Triveni Engineering Industries Ltd and Shoppers Stop Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
MOIL Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, surged 4.12 per cent to trade at Rs 156.55 apiece. Last week, the company reported the appointment of Shri Nikunj Kumar Srivastava, Principal Secretary, Department of Mineral Resources, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh, as Government of Madhya Pradesh, Nominee Director on the Board of Directors of MOIL Limited with immediate effect.
Triveni Engineering Industries Ltd, another S&P BSE SmallCap company, rallied 3.81 per cent to trade at Rs 292.60 apiece. Last week, the company announced the extinguishment of
Rs 2,28,57,142 fully paid-up equity shares and of Rs.1 each of Triveni Engineering & Industries Limited, via share buyback.
Shoppers Stop Ltd, a S&P BSE 500 company, climbed 3.70 per cent to trade at Rs 653.90 apiece. Last week, the company announced that Shiseido Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd shall expand its brand footprint in India through a strategic distribution partnership with Shoppers Stop.
