Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 554 points or 0.92 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further weakened to 59,195.98, signifying loss of 610.30 points or 1.02 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals got hammered by 0.96 per cent, power weakened by 0.42 per cent whereas auto slipped by 0.25 per cent.
Meanwhile, Adani Green Energy Ltd, PNC Infratech Ltd and Adani Transmission Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Adani Green Energy Ltd, a S&P BSE 200 company, surged 4.98 per cent to trade at Rs 682.95 apiece.
PNC Infratech Ltd, a S&P BSE 500 company, rallied 3.04 per cent to trade at Rs 295 apiece. Yesterday, the company announced that it has been declared the L1 (lowest) bidder for two Highway Projects of NHAI with an aggregate bid project cost of Rs 2004.43 crore.
Adani Transmission Ltd, another S&P BSE 200 company, climbed 2.69 per cent to trade at Rs 884 apiece.
The rally in Adani Group companies can be attributed to the announcement made by the company on Tuesday. As per media sources, Adani Group had announced prepayment of share-backed financing of Rs 7,374 crore, which was ahead of its latest maturity in April 2025. Moreover, promoter leverage has been brought down in the following Adani Group companies- Adani Ports, Adani Enterprises, Adani Transmission and Adani Green Energy.
