Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in the red with a loss of 236.61 points or 0.39 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further weakened to 59,303.87, signifying a loss of 160.06 points or 0.27 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals were down by 0.17 per cent, power weakened by 0.82 per cent whereas auto slipped by 0.40 per cent.
Meanwhile, Rossari Biotech Ltd, Olectra Greentech Ltd and NBCC (India) Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Rossari Biotech Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, surged 4 per cent to trade at Rs 689 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by market forces.
Olectra Greentech Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, rallied 3.96 per cent to trade at Rs 500.30 apiece. Last week, the company announced its hydrogen bus in a technical partnership with Reliance. With this, the company is set to offer the next-generation transport system to the Indian market.
NBCC (India) Ltd, another S&P BSE 500 company, climbed 3.03 per cent to trade at Rs 33.95 apiece. On Friday, the company announced that it has secured the work of a Project Management Consultant (PMC). This pertained to the complete planning, design, execution/construction of buildings and their services and other maintenance and upgradation works of existing buildings etc. under conventional/EPC contract mode as per the scope of work for various buildings at Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology (MNNIT), Allahabad having a value of Rs 350 crore.
