Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 73.05 points or 0.12 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index strengthened to 59,813.56, signifying gains of 207.76 points or 0.35 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals shined by 0.70 per cent, power weakened by 0.63 per cent whereas auto surged by 0.05 per cent.
Meanwhile, Olectra Greentech Ltd, Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd and Redington Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Olectra Greentech Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, surged 6.95 per cent to trade at Rs 430 apiece. Yesterday, the company announced its hydrogen bus in technical partnership with Reliance. With this, the company is set to offer the next-generation transport system to the Indian market.
Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd, another S&P BSE SmallCap company, rallied 6.51 per cent to trade at Rs 46.65 apiece. Apart from the earnings concall transcript, the company has not made any significant announcements of late.
Redington Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, climbed 4.59 per cent to trade at Rs 180 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
