Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 104.89 points or 0.17 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index weakened to 59,484.52, signifying loss of 223.56 points or 0.37 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals were down by 0.34 per cent, power weakened by 2.66 per cent whereas auto was trading flat.
Meanwhile, Ion Exchange India Ltd, Adani Enterprises Ltd and Brightcom Group Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Ion Exchange India Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, surged 12.84 per cent to trade at Rs 3040.95 apiece. This rally comes ahead of the company's board meeting which is set to be held tomorrow to approve the Q3FY23 results.
Adani Enterprises Ltd, an S&P BSE 100 company, rallied 10 per cent to trade at Rs 2341.55 apiece. This rally comes after an announcement by the company. As per the exchange filing, the Board of Adani Enterprises Ltd., (AEL) decided not to go-ahead with the fully subscribed Follow-on Public Offer (FPO).
The filing said that given the unprecedented situation and the current market volatility, the company aims to protect the interest of its investing community by returning the FPO proceeds and withdraws the completed transaction.
Brightcom Group Ltd, another S&P BSE 500 company, climbed 7.13 per cent to trade at Rs 28.55 apiece. This surge comes after Brightcom and Consumable, Inc, USA, signed a definitive agreement to form a joint venture to offer Audio Advertising Solutions. The transaction is expected to significantly benefit Brightcom's standalone (parent) numbers while offering a capital-light growth model for the group.
