Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 111.72 points or 0.18 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index was trading at the level of 61,081.44, signifying loss of 86.35 points or 0.14 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals were up by 0.1 per cent, power strengthened by 0.35 per cent whereas auto index was trading flat.
Meanwhile, Advanced Enzyme Technologies Ltd, CSB Bank Ltd and PSP Projects Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Advanced Enzyme Technologies Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, surged 7.68 per cent to trade at Rs 305 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
CSB Bank Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, rallied 5.57 per cent to trade at Rs 256.90 apiece. Yesterday, the bank provided business update for the December quarter. As per the exchange filing, the bank's total deposits went up by 18.93 per cent YoY to Rs 22,664.02 crore. Further, the gross advances went up by 25.7 per cent YoY to Rs 18,643.32 crore.
PSP Projects Ltd, another S&P BSE SmallCap company, climbed 5.43 per cent to trade at Rs 747 apiece. Yesterday, the company reported that it had emerged as Lowest Bidder (L1) for a Government project worth Rs 1,364.47 crore (excluding GST) of 'Construction of State-of-the-art High-Rise Office Building' at Surat, Gujarat for Surat Municipal Corporation.
