Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 57.32 points or 0.09 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further strengthened to 61,324.81, signifying gains of 190.93 points or 0.31 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals shined by 0.42 per cent, power strengthened by 0.55 per cent whereas auto surged by 0.58 per cent.
Meanwhile, Eureka Forbes Ltd, H.G. Infra Engineering Ltd and Ingersoll-Rand (India) Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. Barring H.G. Infra Engineering Ltd, the other two companies have not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in their share prices could be driven purely by the market forces.
Eureka Forbes Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, surged 6.40 per cent to trade at Rs 474 apiece.
H.G. Infra Engineering Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, rallied 5.78 per cent to trade at Rs 608.80 apiece. Yesterday, the company reported that it has received the Letter of Award (LOA) from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for the project in the state of Haryana.
Ingersoll-Rand (India) Ltd, another S&P BSE SmallCap company, climbed 5.07 per cent to trade at Rs 1999 apiece.
