Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 326.48 points or 0.53 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index weakened to 60,641.95, signifying loss of 268.33 points or 0.44 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals got hammered by nearly 1 per cent, power weakened by 0.39 per cent whereas auto slipped by 0.13 per cent.
Meanwhile, Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd, Adani Wilmar Ltd and Morepen Laboratories Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. None of these companies have made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in their share prices could be driven purely by the market forces.
Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, surged 4.96 per cent to trade at Rs 96.20 apiece.
Adani Wilmar Ltd, an S&P BSE 200 company, rallied 4.08 per cent to trade at Rs 601.95 apiece.
Morepen Laboratories Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, climbed 3.68 per cent to trade at Rs 39.40 apiece.
