Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 53.80 points or 0.08 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index further strengthened to 62,720.01, signifying gains of 186.71 points or 0.30 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals shined by 0.22 per cent, power strengthened by 0.13 per cent whereas auto surged by 0.18 per cent.
Meanwhile, UCO Bank, Shankara Building Products Ltd and Heidelberg Cement India Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. None of these companies have made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in their share prices could be driven purely by the market forces.
UCO Bank, an S&P BSE 500 company, surged 5.34 per cent to trade at Rs 30.60 apiece.
Shankara Building Products Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, rallied 4.19 per cent to trade at Rs 743.95 apiece.
Heidelberg Cement India Ltd, another S&P BSE 500 company, climbed 2.65 per cent to trade at Rs 208.90 apiece.
