Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 181.42 points or 0.29 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index was trading at the level of 61,825.47, signifying loss of 155.25 points or 0.25 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals got hammered by 0.65 per cent, power was trading flat whereas auto slipped by 0.3 per cent.
Meanwhile, Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd, Craftsman Automation Ltd and Star Cement Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd, an S&P BSE 200 company, surged 4.21 per cent to trade at Rs 27.25 apiece. The company had declared an interim dividend of Rs 0.8 per equity share representing 8 per cent of face value of Rs 10 per equity share. Today is the ex-dividend date for this corporate action.
Craftsman Automation Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, rallied 3.52 per cent to trade at Rs 3198.95 apiece. The company has not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in the share price could be driven purely by the market forces.
Star Cement Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, climbed 2.89 per cent to trade at Rs 105 apiece. On Monday, the company announced its Q2FY23 results. Apart from this, no significant announcement has been made by the company.
