Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 494.59 points or 0.80 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index strengthened to 61,740.24, signifying gains of 116.09 points or 0.19 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals got hammered by 0.82 per cent, whereas auto and power were trading flat.
Meanwhile, Greaves Cotton Ltd, MAS Financial Services and CSB Bank emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. Barring Greaves Cotton, the other two companies have not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in their share prices could be driven purely by the market forces.
Greaves Cotton Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, surged 5.11 per cent to trade at Rs 156.35 apiece. Yesterday, the company announced its Q2FY23 results. As per the exchange filing, the company reported highest ever quarterly consolidated revenue of Rs 699 crore.
MAS Financial Services Ltd, another S&P BSE 500 company, rallied 4.68 per cent to trade at Rs 897 apiece.
CSB Bank Ltd, from the private banks space, climbed 4.09 per cent to trade at Rs 226.65 apiece.
