Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 29.18 points. By 9.15 am, the index was trading at the level of 61,753.20, signifying a loss of 41.84 points or 0.07 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals shined by 0.45 per cent, power weakened by the same quantum whereas auto surged by 0.39 per cent.
Meanwhile, Brightcom Group, Life Insurance Corporation of India and ISGEC Heavy Engineering Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Brightcom Group Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, surged 11.10 per cent to trade at Rs 41.05 apiece. This rally came on the back of strong Q2FY23 results announcement done on Saturday. As per the report, the company's consolidated revenues rose 52.48 per cent YOY and PAT rose 51.15 per cent YOY. Notably, EBITDA also rose by 45.07 per cent YOY.
Life Insurance Corporation of India, an S&P BSE 200 company, rallied 6.06 per cent to trade at Rs 666.10 apiece. On Friday, the company announced its H1FY23 results. For H1FY23, LIC registered an increase of 23.87 per cent in the Total Premium Income at Rs 2,30,456 crore as compared to Rs 1,86,053 crore for H1FY22. As per the exchange filing, the business momentum continues to be strong for LIC and as a result the overall market share by First Year Premium Income (as per IRDAI) increased to 68.25 per cent for H1FY23 as compared to full year market share of 63.25 per cent for FY 22.
ISGEC Heavy Engineering Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, climbed 5.47 per cent to trade at Rs 510.05 apiece. On Friday, the company announced its Q2FY23 results. During the quarter, the company's revenue grew by 10 per cent YoY and PAT grew by 95 per cent YoY.
