Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 491.4 points or 0.8 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index was trading at the level of 60,833.89, signifying loss of 199.66 points or 0.33 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals got hammered by 0.56 per cent, power weakened by 0.3 per cent whereas auto slipped by 0.7 per cent.
Meanwhile, Gujarat Pipavav Port, Narayana Hrudayalaya and IFCI Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Gujarat Pipavav Port Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, surged 9.36 per cent to trade at Rs 96.95 apiece. Yesterday, the company announced its Q2FY23 results. During the quarter, the company's consolidated topline grew by 17.8 per cent YoY to Rs 237.80 crore. The bottom line grew 58.4 per cent YoY to Rs 72.1 crore.
Narayana Hrudayalaya Ltd, another S&P BSE 500 company, rallied 6.44 per cent to trade at Rs 788.05 apiece. This rally comes after the announcement of Q2FY23 results yesterday. The consolidated total operating income increased by 21.4 per cent YoY while the PAT grew by 69.9 per cent YoY.
IFCI Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, climbed 4.10 per cent to trade at Rs 11.94 apiece. This surge came on the back of the Q2FY23 results announcement. As per the exchange filing, the company's PAT came in at Rs 109.50 crore as against a net loss of Rs 525.88 crore in Q2FY22.
