Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 358.12 points or 0.58 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index was trading at the level of 60,804.28, signifying loss of 32.13 points or 0.05 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals got hammered by 0.35 per cent, power weakened by the same quantum whereas auto surged by 0.1 per cent.
Meanwhile, Amara Raja Batteries, Raymond and SKF India emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Amara Raja Batteries Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, surged 5.43 per cent to trade at Rs 548 apiece. Yesterday, the company announced its results for the quarter and half year ended September 30, 2022. As per the announcement, the company's revenue from operations grew 19.2 per cent YoY to Rs 2,699.46 crore.
Raymond Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, rallied 5.10 per cent to trade at Rs 1322 apiece. This rally comes after the announcement of Q2FY23 results yesterday. As per the exchange filing, Raymond delivered highest ever revenue and EBITDA for a quarter. The net revenue stood at Rs 2,191 crore, up by 38 per cent YoY.
SKF India Ltd, another S&P BSE 500 company, climbed 4.62 per cent to trade at Rs 4,610 apiece. This surge came on the back of the Q2FY23 results announcement yesterday. During the quarter, the company's consolidated topline grew 11.56 per cent YoY to Rs 1088.4 crore.
