Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 148.1 points or 0.24 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index strengthened to 59,952.09, signifying gains of 408.13 points or 0.69 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals shined by 0.71 per cent, power strengthened by 0.1 per cent while auto surged by 0.17 per cent.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra Scooters Ltd, CSB Bank, and South Indian Bank Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today.
Maharashtra Scooters Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, surged 6.93 per cent to trade at Rs 5,599.95 apiece. Last week, the company announced its performance for the quarter ending September 30, 2022. Further, the company's CEO resigned from his position, followed by the appointment of a new CEO.
CSB Bank Ltd, another S&P BSE 500 company, rallied 3.98 per cent to trade at Rs 237.70 apiece. In the previous week, this company too announced its performance for the quarter ending September 30, 2022.
South Indian Bank Ltd, an S&P BSE Smallcap company, climbed 3.12 per cent to trade at Rs 13.55 apiece. Since the announcement of a stellar Q2FY23 performance last week, the shares of the company have been rallying on the bourses.
