Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in the red territory with a loss of 241.2 points or 0.41 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index was trading at the level of 58,100.36, signifying a loss of 121.74 points or 0.21 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals got hammered by 0.22, power weakened by 0.9 per cent whereas auto climbed nearly a per cent.
Meanwhile, ESAB India, Confidence Petroleum, and Jaiprakash Associates emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. None of these companies have made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in their share prices could be driven purely by market forces.
ESAB India Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, surged 5.14 per cent to trade at Rs 3,739 apiece.
Confidence Petroleum Ltd, an S&P BSE Smallcap company, rallied 4.32 per cent to trade at Rs 77.35 apiece.
Jaiprakash Associates Ltd, another S&P BSE Smallcap company, climbed 3.77 per cent to trade at Rs 9.64 apiece.
