Meanwhile, SpiceJet Ltd, West Coast Paper Mills, and Tasty Bite Eatables Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. None of these companies have made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in their share prices could be driven purely by market forces.
SpiceJet Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, surged 7.02 per cent to trade at Rs 41.15 apiece. This surge came after a significant announcement was made by the government on Tuesday. As per the announcement, the government modified Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS). The intent was to enhance the maximum loan amount eligibility for airlines under ECLGS 3.0 to 100 per cent of their fund-based or non-fund-based loan outstanding as on the reference dates or Rs 1,500 crore, whichever is lower.
West Coast Paper Mills Ltd, an S&P BSE Smallcap company, rallied 6.53 per cent to trade at Rs 526.85 apiece.
Tasty Bite Eatables Ltd, another S&P BSE Smallcap company, climbed 3.46 per cent to trade at Rs 12,280 apiece.
