Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 4.81 points. By 9.15 am, the index strengthened to 58,255.34, signifying gains of 282.72 points or 0.49 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals shined by 0.8 per cent, power strengthened by 0.7 per cent whereas auto surged 0.5 per cent.
Meanwhile, Cigniti Technologies Ltd, NELCO Ltd, and Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. Barring Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, the other two companies have not made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in their share prices could be driven purely by the market forces.
Cigniti Technologies Ltd, an S&P BSE Smallcap company, surged 5.38 per cent to trade at Rs 613 apiece.
NELCO Ltd, another S&P BSE Smallcap company, rallied 5 per cent to trade at Rs 989.40 apiece.
Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences Ltd, another S&P BSE 500 company, climbed 4.76 per cent to trade at Rs 1,240 apiece. On Monday, the company reported that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake (51 per cent) in SPANV Medisearch Lifesciences Private Limited, Nagpur. The latter runs a multi-speciality hospital in the name of 'Kingsway Hospitals'. Existing promoters and shareholders will continue to hold a balance stake of 49 per cent. Post-acquisition, the hospital will be renamed 'KIMS Kingsway Hospitals'.
