Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
The comments of Federal Reserve Chairman J Powell led to a significant plunge in the markets today. At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in red with a loss of 1,957.7 points or 3.3 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index was trading at the level of 57,622.66, signifying a loss of 1211.21 points or 2.06 per cent.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals got hammered by nearly 4 per cent, power weakened by 3.5 per cent whereas auto slipped more than 2 per cent.
Meanwhile, Fairchem Organics Ltd, Advanced Enzyme Technologies Ltd, and Westlife Development Ltd emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. None of these companies have made any significant announcements of late. Hence, the rally in their share prices could be driven purely by the market forces.
Fairchem Organics Ltd, an S&P BSE Smallcap company, surged 2.27 per cent to trade at Rs 1,998 apiece. On Friday, the company submitted a transcript of an audio recording of its Q1FY23 earnings' conference call.
Advanced Enzyme Technologies Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, rallied 1.69 per cent to trade at Rs 267.95 apiece.
Westlife Development Ltd, another S&P BSE 500 company, climbed 1.46 per cent to trade at Rs 653 apiece.
