Top three stocks that saw heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today
These three stocks were the top gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session today.
At the pre-opening bell, the frontline index S&P BSE Sensex opened in green with a gain of 0.16 per cent. By 9.15 am, the index strengthened by 125.7 points or 0.23 per cent to 53,639.85.
On the sectoral front, in the pre-opening session, metals shined by over 0.5 per cent, power strengthened by 1.5 per cent whereas auto slipped marginally by 0.05 per cent.
Meanwhile, TCNS Clothing Co., Hindustan Zinc, and Bharti Airtel emerged as the Top Gainers of BSE in the pre-opening session today. Barring Hindustan Zinc Ltd, the other two companies have not made any significant announcements lately. Hence, the rally in their share prices could purely be driven by the market forces.
TCNS Clothing Co. Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company, rallied 4.16 per cent to trade at Rs 562.30 apiece.
Hindustan Zinc Ltd, an S&P BSE 200 company, surged 4.08 per cent to trade at Rs 282.95 apiece. On Wednesday, after the market hours, the company reported that its board has approved an interim dividend of Rs 21 per equity share i.e., 1,050 per cent on the face value of Rs 2 per share for the financial year 2022-23, amounting to Rs 8,873.17 crore.
Bharti Airtel Ltd, the telecom service provider, climbed 3.74 per cent to trade at Rs 280 apiece.
