Top performing PSU Stocks of 2021
As government drafts plan on disinvesting or privatising most of the public sector undertakings, investors may now turn their attention towards PSU stocks from a viewpoint of long-term wealth creation rather that some tactical strategies.
On a YTD basis, BSE Sensex gained around 1.91 per cent whereas S&P BSE PSU Index picked up steam by gaining almost 15.2 per cent.
Some PSU stocks have attractively gained in 2021. On the top of the list is Hindustan Copper Ltd which has jumped by 154.88 per cent on a YTD basis. Following Hindustan Copper Ltd were Tamilnadu Telecommunications Ltd and Fertilisers & Chemicals Travancore Ltd, which gained by 102.33 per cent and 87.07 per cent respectively.
The price rise in commodities is helping stocks like Hindustan Copper and SAIL outperform markets.
SAIL is up by 58.8 per cent on YTD basis and is up by 316.5 per cent in one year owing to firm steel prices and value buying by investors.
