Top multibagger mutual funds belong to PSU theme: Explore Schemes Here!

Top PSU-themed multibagger mutual funds: SBI PSU Fund and Invesco India PSU Equity Fund delivered over 100 per cent returns in the past year, exceeding benchmarks consistently.

In the world of mutual funds, uncovering opportunities that promise explosive returns can significantly transform your investment portfolio. SBI PSU Fund

The SBI PSU Fund - Direct Plan - Growth, managed by SBI Mutual Fund, falls under the Equity: Thematic-PSU category and was launched on 01-01-2013. It invests primarily in stocks of public sector undertakings (PSUs).

As of 30-04-2024, the fund has assets totaling Rs 2,352.22 crore with a turnover rate of 52 per cent. The total expense ratio (TER) stands at 0.89 per cent. The fund requires a minimum investment of Rs 5,000 and allows top-ups of at least Rs 1,000. An exit load of 0.50 per cent is applicable if redeemed within 30 days. The NAV as of 28-05-2024 was Rs 35.3321.

The compound annual growth rate (CAGR) since inception is 13.36 per cent, outperforming its benchmark, S&P BSE PSU TRI, which has a CAGR of 11.67 per cent. The portfolio consists of 24 stocks, below the category average of 40.98 per cent, with 33.65 per cent invested in Large-Caps, 26.57 per cent in Mid-Caps, and 21.14 per cent in Small-Caps, with 9.24 per cent in other investments.

Invesco India PSU Equity Fund

Invesco India PSU Equity Fund - Direct Plan - Growth, managed by Invesco Mutual Fund, falls under the Equity: Thematic-PSU category and was launched on 01-01-2013. As of 30-04-2024, the fund has assets totaling Rs 956.83 crores with a turnover rate of 41 per cent. The Total Expense Ratio (TER) stands at 0.93 per cent.

The minimum investment and top-up amounts are both Rs 1,000. The fund follows the S&P BSE PSU TRI benchmark and imposes a 1 per cent exit load on redemptions within one year for units exceeding 10 per cent of the investment. As of 28-05-2024, the Net Asset Value (NAV) is Rs 76.41.

Since its inception, the fund has achieved a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 19.1 per cent, surpassing its benchmark's CAGR of 11.67 per cent. The portfolio consists of 23 stocks, below the category average of 40.98, with large-cap investments comprising 54.39 per cent, mid-cap investments at 22.65 per cent, small-cap investments at 6.36 per cent, and other investments at 13.13 per cent.
