In the month of August, the benchmark index BSE Sensex has surged by 2.7 per cent, closing at 38,628.29 on the last trading day of the month i.e. on August 31, 2020. On July 31, 2020, BSE Sensex had closed at 37,606.89.
Meanwhile, BSE 500 index too surged by 3.8 per cent from 14,346.18 as on July 31, 2020, to 14,890.06 as on August 31, 2020.
