These Group A stocks witnessed heavy demand from buyers in the pre-opening session today.
After declining nearly one per cent in the previous trading session, the broad market index S&P BSE Sensex witnessed a rally today. The index jumped from the levels of 56,819.39 in the previous trading session to 57,313.82 in today’s session, an increase of 0.84 per cent.
During this time, Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd, Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Ltd, and Centrum Capital Ltd were the top three gainers on BSE in the pre-opening session.
Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd, an S&P BSE SmallCap company, hit its upper circuit of 10 per cent on the bourses. At 9.07 am, the shares of the company were trading at Rs 263.35, an increase of Rs 23.90 from the previous day’s closing price of Rs 239.45 on BSE.
Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Ltd, an S&P BSE 500 company operating in the same industry, jumped 5.44 per cent on the bourses. At 9.07 am, the shares of the company were trading at Rs 68.80, an increase of Rs 3.55 from the previous day’s closing price of Rs 62.25 on BSE.
At the same time, the shares of Centrum Capital Ltd, another S&P BSE SmallCap company, climbed 5.40 per cent. At 9.07 am, the shares of the company were trading at Rs 29.30, an increase of Rs 1.50 from the previous day’s closing price of Rs 27.80 on BSE.
