Zen Technologies Limited proudly announces the grant of its third patent for the T-90 Tank Simulator – the Containerized Driving Simulator System (T-90 DS). This milestone further strengthens Zen’s leadership in military training simulation, providing cutting-edge solutions to enhance combat vehicle operator training.
The patent, filed on 24th March 2022, is valid until 24th March 2042. With this latest achievement, Zen Technologies has now secured an impressive portfolio that now includes four patents in 2025 and 14 in FY 2024-25
This marks the third patent granted for T-90 tank simulators, following the earlier patents for the Basic Gunnery Simulator (BGS) and Crew Gunnery Simulator (CGS). Additionally, Zen has three patents covering T-72 and BMP-II tank simulator variants, further demonstrating its commitment to developing advanced military training systems for armoured vehicle operations.
Advancing Military Training with High-Precision Simulation
The T-90 DS – Containerized Driving Simulator System is a high-fidelity, portable training solution designed to provide military personnel with an immersive and realistic training experience. This advanced simulator enables trainees to operate in a controlled environment, eliminating the need for live vehicle operations while ensuring effective skill development.
The system features an exact replica of the tank driver’s station with all controls and a six-degree-offreedom (6-DOF) motion platform, which accurately replicates the movements of a T-90 tank across diverse terrains, allowing drivers to experience real-world vehicle dynamics. It incorporates scenariobased AI training, offering customizable modules that simulate combat environments such as urban warfare, desert operations, and night manoeuvres, preparing operators for different battlefield conditions.
To further enhance situational awareness, the simulator integrates virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies, providing an interactive training experience with real-time battlefield scenarios. The system also supports crew coordination and multi-unit training, enabling multiple tank crew members to train simultaneously, improving team collaboration and operational efficiency.
Designed as a containerized and rapidly deployable system, the T-90 DS Simulator functions as a plugand-play, mobile training facility that can be easily transported and set up at military bases. This flexibility allows armed forces to conduct high-quality training in various locations without the logistical constraints of moving heavy military vehicles.
Strengthening Indigenous Defence Capabilities
Zen Technologies remains at the forefront of India’s self-reliant defence technology initiative, contributing to self-reliance in defence technology. The T-90 DS Simulator, along with its previously patented T-90, T-72, and BMP-II simulator variants, aligns with the Indian Army’s vision for costeffective, high-impact training solutions while reducing the need for extensive live tank usage.
With six patents now covering T-90, T-72, and BMP-II tank simulators, Zen Technologies continues to expand its portfolio of military training innovations. The company remains committed to delivering cutting-edge solutions for combat training, tactical preparedness, and mission readiness.
