Tejas Networks sets-up telecom centre of excellence in Kerala
Tejas Networks Limited has announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Government of Kerala as its first telecom knowledge partner and is establishing a Centre of Excellence (CoE) for next-generation telecom technologies in the state.
This centre is set up in the new integrated startup complex in Kochi. It was inaugurated in the presence of Chief Minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan. Through this centre, Tejas Networks will provide training, skills development and mentoring of college students, young entrepreneurs and high potential electronics startups in Kerala. The senior technologists of the company would work with the faculty of leading engineering institutions for developing industry-oriented telecommunication training and certification program.
The company also plans to set up an advanced networking test bed for cutting-edge technologies such as terabit-scale optical communications, gigabit-scale broadband access, 5G and software-defined networking.
The stock of Tejas Networks has dropped by ~50 per cent in past one year. Its 52-week high was at Rs. 454.10 per share and 52-week low at Rs. 194.25. Currently, the stock is trading at Rs. 219 level which is just above its 52-week low level.
