Tata Power signs MoU with EDF

Tata Power Delhi Distribution (TPDDL), a joint venture of Government of Delhi and Tata Power have joined hands with Electricite de France (EDF) and its wholly-owned subsidiary 'Enedis' to explore prospective opportunities for Smart Grid Technology in India.

The joint venture shall engage in working towards promotion of system digitalization in Delhi and allows the building of local energy communities using local solar generation units and the self-consumption approach. The entity will help demonstrates de-carbonization of local energy systems and evaluate smart grid technologies.

Both the companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) towards the goal of electricity development and smart sustainable city.

Tata Power is India’s largest integrated power company with a mounting global presence. The scrip on Monday opened at Rs. 84.30 per share and touched an intraday high of Rs. 84.50 on 10:55 AM.
