Tata Motors to supply 200 EVs to Cognizant
Tata Motors has partnered with Cognizant to supply Tigor Electric as part of tech company's commitment to a sustainable environment. Share price of Tata motors was up by 2 per cent.
A batch of 10 vehicles has been handed over by Tata to Cognizant in Hyderabad which are a first of several batches. A total of 200 units for approximately Rs. 18 to 22 crore will be supplied. Tata Motors will collaborate with other Tata group companies to supply the charging infrastructure, maintenance services and financial assistance for procurement and functioning of the vehicle.
Tata Motors is already the lead supplier for the government's electric vehicle project. The company has partnered with a mobility solutions company, Volercars which will be responsible for delivering this integrated solution to Cognizant including ground operations and fleet management.
On Thursday, Tata Motors' intraday high was Rs. 257.50 per share and the intraday low was Rs 251 per share on the BSE. Its 52-week high was Rs. 468 and Rs. 247 was its 52-week low on the BSE.
At 11:10 hours, Tata Motors was quoting Rs. 256 per share, up by 1.91 per cent. The BSE Sensex was trading at 36,460.23 level, up by 0.23 per cent and Nifty50 was quoting 10,989 level, up by 0.078 per cent.
