Tata Motors Group posts 7 per cent decline in global wholesales
Tata Motors Group's global wholesales for the month was at 1,04,964 units in November, lower by 7 per cent on a YoY basis. This include Tata Motors passenger vehicles, Tata Motors commercial vehicles and Jaguar Land Rover.
The wholesales number for all Tata Motors' commercial vehicles and Tata Daewoo range were at 38,535 units in November 2018, down by 6 per cent over the same period in 2017. The global wholesales number for all passenger vehicles were at 66,429 units, lower by 7 per cent as against the corresponding period a year ago.
The company posted Jaguar Land Rover global wholesales at 49,312 units. This includes JLR number in addition to CJLR volumes (JV between JLR and Chery Automobiles) of 4,144 units). For the month of November, Jaguar wholesales were at 15,114 vehicles, while Land Rover wholesales were at 34,198 vehicles.
Meanwhile in-line with the overall market, the stock of Tata Motors was experiencing selling pressure on Monday. At 14:56 hours, the stock was quoting Rs. 157.45 per share, down by Rs. 5.00 or 3.08 per cent on BSE. The benchmark Sensex was at 35,009.02, down by 664.23 points or 1.86 per cent.
