Tata Communications has unveiled an advanced cyber security response centre in Dubai. The facility was jointly inaugurated by UAE's Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Omar bin Sultan Al Olama and Navdeep Suri, Indian Ambassador to the UAE.

The centre will provide 24/7 cyber security services throughout the year to help customers overcome the cyber threats in the Middle East region. This centre is the company’s fourth dedicated security centre after Chennai, Pune and Singapore.

Such security services enable tackling threats by delivering security for the cloud and from the cloud to global enterprises throughout their digitisation journey. Through this security response centre in Dubai, the company intends to offer services to enterprises and government bodies in the UAE and other GCC countries. It will enable cyber-attack protection in order to meet the country’s regulatory requirements as laid down by the SAMA (Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority) and NESA (National Electronic Security Authority).

A rise in the number of successful digit enterprises in the Middle East is adding to the region's exposure to cyberattacks. As per Research and Markets 2017 report, the cyber security market in the Middle East is expected to double in the next few years from US$ 11.38 billion to 22.14 billion by 2022.

On Monday, the stock of Tata Communications opened at Rs. 522.05 per share and made intra-day high of Rs. 531.50. Since the past one month, the stock has corrected by ~22 per cent from Rs. 676 to Rs. 528 levels.
