Tata Com partners with China Telecom
Leading global digital infrastructure provider Tata Communications and China Telecom Global (CTG) tie-up to expand their IoT connectivity to global clients.
CTG plans to offer internet of things (IoT) service with Tata Communications' MOVE service in the China market. This partnership aims to capture the rapid adoption of IoT devices across industrial sectors.
The MOVE service leverages the Tata Com’s relationships with 600 plus mobile network operators spread across the globe. The services will ensure that IoT-enabled wearable device or automotive system can be connected instantly anywhere in the world. This services will enable CTG to improve the reach of its IoT offering for both Chinese as well as overseas-based companies. In return, CTG will provide Tata Com with connectivity in China, Hong Kong and Macau through CTG's 4G network resources.
China's IoT industry grew at a CAGR of 25 per cent from 2009 to 2017 and the market was valued at US$222.6 billion in 2018.
On Wednesday, at 10:58 hours, the stock of Tata Comunication was trading at Rs. 607.60 per share, up by Rs. 2.00 or 0.33 per cent on BSE.
