The IPO market that was buzzing & rollicking in the calendar year 2021, is also feeling the pinch as the central banks across the globe are aggressively tightening their monetary policy.

On Friday, the benchmark indices ended marginally lower after making a cheerful start with Sensex opening 500 points on the upside. Amid the volatile session, Sensex dipped more than 600 points from the day's high to settle 49 points lower at 55,769.23 level while Nifty50 lost 44 points to end at 16,584 level.

Indices close higher while Nifty ended above the 16,350-level. It has closed at the day’s high, climbing 1.13 per cent.

Indices lost points for the third consecutive day as Nifty fell about 0.62 per cent to close at 16,025.80.

Nifty witnessed selling pressure towards the end as it tumbled below the 16,150-mark to close at 16,125.15.
